Moses and leadership lessons
- Have a dream and nurture that dream - though no one may understand your dreams
- Never forget your roots
- Try on your own to change the world, and if you fail run away, but be available when the bush fires up!
- Stay near a bush always
- Take a break in the desert, once in a while!
- Desert breaks are preparation for future desert journeys, you may not know it now.
- You are ready when you are least ready
- You are prepared to lead when you are at your lowest ebb
- Hold on to your dreams till it is rekindled by a greater power than you!
- It might take 40 years to be rekindled!
- Give excuses, and try giving up, but not too often; He will not give up on you!
- If you think you cannot do it alone, tell Him, he has support ready
- If you think you do not how to speak, do not worry, He has prepared people who can speak, in your team
- Your ability is not what is required, but your availability
- Do not make it difficult for God too, listen when he speaks
- When He sends you, it is because He has seen, heard, is concerned and has come down and started the work
- You are only His hands and feet
- But He has His ways and timing – which is confusing and slow!
- Learn to fall face down frequently – but protect your face!
- Be ready to be rejected by your people not once but every other week!
- Be ready for revolt from your leadership team every other month!
- Your closest will ones will fail you, but He will not!!
- He will never give up on His vision, though He may decide change the plans, and even give up on His people
- If you are confused go into the tabernacle, If that is not enough go off into the mountains
- When you are coming down, cover your face, since others may not understand why you are glowing
- It is okay to lose your temper once in a while, especially when people give up on Him
- Learn how to find direction through the cloud and fire
- Step out into deep waters though it is illogical and irrational
- When He is about to give up on His people remind Him of His promises
- Learn to sit on stones with hands raised up for a whole day – if need be, teach others how to help you
- Loneliness in leadership can be avoided if you have a tabernacle or mountain nearby
- Get a Joshua around you, let him see your life
- Be ready to give up on your personal dreams – even good ones!
- Discipline is part of being led
- End of the day, you will not be the same when you are taken off from your role and position!
- He still works after you are dead and gone, on the same plan He told you!
