Architects and Builders

It was an excellent proposal and a project design. To build the tallest towner in the region and a city around it. A smart city with new materials called “bricks”. A tower that will stand out, a city that will attract many to come and be part off. A monument that will promote their name all over the world, unify all those who are with them! “Make Babel Great Again” was their motto! A moto that will withstand any potential internal or external threats even from the supernatural events and powers even! United, the planners felt, then can withstand anything!

The design committee approved the plans, and the building committee was authorized to initiate the project. The architects and builders were on to the project, as soon as possible, since they were aware of the potential threats around them.

Little did they realize that there was some one watching them and another committee meeting in progress. A committee that was reviewing the threat of this so-called potential “great city” to the larger plans God had. The self-promoting unified city, that could thwart the plan of populating the earth and being stewards of the creation which was handed over to the humankind by the creator. This committee approving a plan to go down, confuse and scatter the planners and builders! A master builder and architect who had something else in his mind!

This master builder and architect had yet another plan in mind. To choose a man who will leave his city, community, close family and comforts of the city and start on a journey. A migrant, who was journeying based on a promise, to an unknown land and future. The man who will stop every now and then to listen to this master builder and architect, who was building another city. In that listening and journeying, the man and his generations of descendants, will become blessing to many nations. Nations that emerged out of the scattering that happened from the aborted attempt to “Make Babel Great Again”!

A hope to hold on to amid the rhetoric’s of the self-promoting nations and national leaders! That we are part of such an alternative journey, of being a blessing to nations, by our walk of faith!
